The Dodd Family
Phil and his beloved wife Melissa Meagher Dodd have been married for 38 years and are proud to call Murfreesboro home. Together they raised three fine sons, Phillip, Griffin, and Thomas, and their family has been blessed to grow with daughter-in-law Nikki and grandson Davis, who carries on five generations of Rutherford County roots.
Faith & Service
Faith has always been at the center of the Dodd family. Phil and Melissa are longtime members of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church here in Murfreesboro, where Phil has served in Youth Ministry and remained deeply rooted in the life of his parish. That same spirit of service led Phil to the Greenhouse Ministries Board of Directors, where he served as President and learned to always consider the dignity and wellbeing of every Rutherford County citizen when making decisions that affect our community.
Why Phil Serves
Phil has been passionate about local governance since his high school days in Rutherford County. Encouraged to run by Mayor Ernest Burgess and former Finance Director Lisa Nolen, Phil entered his first campaign in 2014 with one simple conviction: that our community deserves a steady, thoughtful voice committed to the financial stability and quality of life that previous leaders worked so hard to build. That conviction guides him every single day.
